James,

Thanks for taking the time to write about us.

I just wanted to let every one know that we do take our responsibility as an intermediary very seriously. We will be monitoring our bloggers very closely to insure that they are writing proper reviews.

I don't believe it is as big of an issue as people like Mike would make it out to be though. Regardless of price point, bloggers are going to be required to be transparent. If their audiences think for a second that their opinion is being skewed by price, there will be hell to pay. Especially on the large sites with large reader bases.

As for small mom and pops who might be easier to bribe to write a 100% positive review, they have small audiences and would not have enough backing to sway opinion anyways.

I think we will find that the legitimate review companies will thrive this year, and as more and more reviews are analyzed, it will become very clear that most of the worrying was unnecessary .

Do a search in Google for "Reviewme Reviews", there are lots of great examples of reviews that would put even the harshest critics to rest. Very well balanced, and in some cases overly critical if anything.
